Helping out at Santa's Workshop at the JC Penney location in downtown Price is Ashley Moncada of Price.

United Way's volunteer connections program kicked off the holidays Saturday. The program gives children an opportunity to write letters to Santa. The workshop is located at JC Penney in downtown Price. JC Penney's has donated window space to United Way for the purpose of writing letters to Santa and to promote the annual Community Angel Tree project.

Children can write their letters to Santa every Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. from now until Dec. 18. Parents who require support from holiday gift giving programs can pick up a community Angel Tree application. Deadline for the application is Nov. 19. For more information on the Angel Tree contact KC Jones-Cook at the United Way of Southeastern Utah at 637-8911.m
