Rose Sandoval

PRICE - Maria De Rosario "Rose" Gonzales Sandoval, age 67, passed away Oct. 3, 2004 after a long illness.

Born March 31, 1937 in Chandler, Colo., to Pedro and Maria De La Cruz Gonzales. She married Perry Sandoval March 3, 1956 in Las Vegas, Nev.

Member of the Catholic Church.

She loved reading, crocheting and spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed volunteering at the senior center and working on the newsletter.

Mom was the most sweetest, kindest, loving women with a big heart. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Survived by husband, Perry Sandoval; six children, Perry Rick (Ruby) Sandoval; Darla Ann Basso, all of Price; Barbara (Jim) Wills, Limon, Colo.; Karen Sandoval, ReNae (Thayne) Oviatt, both of Grand Junction, Colo.; Brenda Sandoval Salazar, Price; brothers and sisters, Mary G. Lopez, Price; Carlos Gonzales, Sandy; Lawrence Gonzales, West Valley; Elvera Garcia, Gallup, N.M.; Antonio Gonzales, Draper; John R. Gonzales, West Valley; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, 10 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Mass Wednesday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil Service, Tuesday evening, 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Tuesday and Wednesday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.

William Corisis

PRICE - William "Bill" George Corisis, 78, passed away the evening of Sept. 28, 2004 at Castle Country Care Center in Price.

Bill was born April 23, 1926 in Webster City, Iowa, to William George and Annie Marcella Johnson Corisis. He married Janet, they were later divorced.

He was a carpenter, salesman and installer of doors and windows.

Bill was an active member of the Catholic Church.

He loved to work in his garden and be the first to have ripe tomatoes and to share them with numerous friends.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by sister, Helen (Ernie) Paine; three sons, Bill Jr., David, Stephen; and seven daughters, Carolyn Kelley, Laura Beck, Mary Bullard, Connie Schroeder, Catherine, Townsend, Martha Powell, Julie Corisis; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by loving companion, Jacketta Brewer; and her children, Leslie Jamie Phillips, Tim and Brett Brewer, seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Jim.

A memory Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, Oct. 6, 7 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Helper. The celebrant will be Father Matthew R. Brozovic O.S.M. At Bill's request, cremation took place and his ashes will be buried in Boise, Idaho on Thursday, Oct. 7.

Ruth Witten

PRICE - Ruth P. Pulli O'Neil Witten, lived a long, good life and was received into heaven on Sept. 30, 2004.

Born June 26, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minn., to Peter and Louise May Ricci Pulli and, in 1943, she moved to Price. On March 9, 1946, Ruth married Grant O'Neil in Price; he passed away Oct. 17, 1971. Ruth married Kenneth Witten Dec. 16, 2000 at the Price United Methodist Church.

Ruth worked for many years at First Interstate Bank and she retired in 1987. In 1951, she joined the Price United Methodist Church. She was a 52-year member of Naomi Chapter 13, Order of the Eastern Star.

She enjoyed belonging to the Price Ladies of Elks, the Ladies VFW Auxiliary and the Daughters of the Nile.

Ruth loved sewing, knitting and quilting for her family and friends. She loved working in her yard and caring for her beautiful garden.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by husband, Kenneth Witten, Price; children, Peggy (Paul) Wilmonen, Kenilworth; George Patrick (Patti) O'Neil, Price; Marilyn (Tony) Ault, Hemet, Calif.; Julie (Scott) Richardson, Westin, Fla.; sisters, Evelyn Gulickson, Hettinger, N. D.; Marion (Joe) Matson, Salt Lake City; Lorraine Bjornlie, San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; brothers, Daniel (Sharon) Pulli, Huntington; James (Bonnie) Pulli, Price; Robert (Carol) Pulli, Bellview, Wash.; grandchildren, Tiffany O'Neil, Tyson O'Neil, Wendy (Dean) Warren, Justin Wilmonen, Michael (Sara) Ault, Andy and Ryan Richardson; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Grant O'Neil; and sister, Bernice Brown.

Funeral service was Monday, Oct. 4, 1 p.m., Price United Methodist Church. Interment, Price City Cemetery, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Ruth's name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute or the Shriner's Childrens Hospital.

Frances Elzey

WINTER QUARTERS/CARSON CITY, Nev. - Frances P. Elzey, 85, passed away Sept. 29, 2004 in Carson City, Nev.

She was born Dec. 2, 1918 in Winter Quarters to Joseph and Veronica Parrish Podbevsek. Married John F. Elzey Aug. 3, 1942 in Prescott, Idaho. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1990 in Carson City, Nev.

She was a resident of Carson City, Nev., for 28 years.

Worked in the electronics industry for many years.

Enjoyed gardening, watching golf, and playing Keno at the Carson Nugget.

Survived by children, Ron Elzey, Carson City, Nev.; Arlene Byrd, Carson City, Nev. sisters, Veronica Haycock, Helper; Alice Schmidt, Price; granddaughter, Stacey Patane, Dayton, Nev. Preceded in death by husband, John; brothers, Frank, Joe, Stanley and Louis Podbevsek; sister, Mary Strang; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 4, 1 p.m.. at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City, Nev. Interment, Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery, Carson City, Nev.
