Carbon golf hosting shotgun tournament fund-raiser The Carbon High golf team will host a fund raiser at Carbon Country Club golf course on Saturday, Sept. 18. The shotgun tournament will begin at 8 a.m. To register, contact the golf shop at 637-2388.

The team also competed in a Sept. 2 match at Delta. Following are the individual player results:

Carbon soccer defeated 6-1 Tabby Cummins was the only Lady Dino to score in Tuesday's Region 8 matchup against North Sanpete.

The Hawks rolled over Carbon, scoring four goals in the first half and two in the second.

Carbon drops to 1-8-0.

Former Carbon High athlete making waves at Hawaiian university Melanie Madsen, a former Carbon High cross country runner, competed in her first collegiate competition for Brigham Young University Hawaii. Out of the four universities on the islands competing, Madsen placed fourth overall in the womens 5K run.
