A male bear cub scrambles around a storage shed at Luxury Homes in Helper after being tranquilized by Division of Wildlife employees. According to Luxury Homes managers, prior to being taken the young cub had been enjoying an afternoon meal from a nearby apple tree. The cub would gather the apples and transport them under a manufactured home where he ate in the shade. During tranquilization of the bear cub, the mother was allegedly lurking in nearby trees. Droppings were found but not tracks, according to DWR employees. He was the first of two cubs taken on Tuesday.
