New lights going up soon at fairground softball diamonds to improve safety

Light poles and other materials sit on the fairgrounds waiting to be placed on the softball field. People who have played on the field expect the new lights to make play much safer. The old lighting system created dead spots where the balls disappear and others where the lights shine right in players' eyes. As soon as bids are let for the work at the next county commission meeting, assembly and erection of the lights will begin.
