Reese Barrick, co-director of the CEU Prehistoric Museum is pictured with Dale Russell following the annual Dinofeast celebration last Friday evening. Barrick studied under Russell a few years ago and arranged for him to address the sponsors and guests of the annual museum event. Russell's research interest and emphasis focuses on the biogeography of southern dinosaurs, how dinosaur-dominated ecosystems differed from older and younger ecosystems, and the recognition of trends in the evolution of life on earth that may occur on earth-like planets elsewhere. Russell addressed a crowd of museum supports at the feast, which followed a week-long celebration honored the state's prehistory.
