Carbon County residents rally in a community-wide show of support for the Utah National Guard 1457th Engineering Battalion. The unit was activated and deployed overseas last year. The guardsmen from Emery and Carbon counties are expected to return to Utah next week, reportedly in three groups. The first group is scheduled to arrive Sunday. The second group is slated for arrival on Thursday, followed by the third group not long after. Local officials are in the process of organizing a celebration of the arrival, tentatively planned during the week of May 10.
