Truck rolls near interchange, driver transported to hospital

Rescue personnel assist an injured victim at the scene of a rollover on Utah Highway 55. The mishap occurred Wednesday at approximately 2:30 p.m.. The accident sent a Carbon County motorist to the hospital for treatment, while a child passenger crawled out of the vehicle, apparently unharmed, after bystanders released the youth's seatbelt. The small pickup reportedly struck a light pole on Utah Highway 55 near the east interchange with U.S. 6. The mishap was still under investigation at press time.
