Wednesday luncheon launches 20-year-old tradition

David Kobe and Jona Gonzales fill bowls of soup at last Wednesday's lenten luncheon. Starting with the Methodist congregation 20 years ago, the group began inviting other churches. The 2004 speakers include Father Ed Metzger, St. Anthony's; Pastor Andrew Lasslo, New Life Ministries; Pastor Courtney Shucker, Ascension St. Matthew's; Pastor Dan Samuelson, Price Chapel; and Pastor Jim Wright, Freedom Christian Fellowship. Donations will benefit the local women's shelter in Price.
