In order to be competitive at older ages, East Carbon wrestlers begin training earlier to learn the fundamentals that will make them successful as they approach junior high and high school.

East Carbon's junior wrestling program recently attended a tournament in Moab on Feb. 21.

Out of 20 wrestlers, 17 returned home with medals for their accomplishments.

Participants included:

Zacharey Cross, 1st; Nathen Summers, 1st; Nick Thuillier, 1st; Jacob Bass, 2nd; Dakota Curtis, 2nd; Billy Eyre, 2nd; Brenden Hepworth, 2nd; Cody Hunt, 2nd; Cole Hunt, 2nd; Gabe Drace, 3rd; Justin Hepworth, 3rd; KaHill Hunt, 3rd; Paxton Ingram, 3rd; Colton Sanderson, 3rd; Taylon Abeyta, 4th; Duke Curtis, 4th; Joseph Gallucci, 4th; Brandy Mast; Catherina Foley; and Buddy Lemon.

The group wrestles each weekend at various tournaments throughout Utah.
