North Idaho College tacked two more losses on the College of Eastern Utah's mens basketball record last weekend.
On Friday, North Idaho College had a 65 percent field goal average in the second half of the game to overtake CEU"s 44-37 halftime lead.
The Cardinals won 82-79.
NIC took the early lead in Saturday's game, leaving CEU with an 11 point deficit at the half.
The Eagles were unable to crawl out of the hole and lost 73-79.
Last weekend's games in Coeur d'Alene are indicative of CEU's losses this season.
CEU mens basketball currently has an 8-10 record against Scenic West Athletic Conference teams.
Eight of the team's 10 losses have been by a margin of six points or less.
While a winning average under 500 may still seem mediocre, the figure begins to look a lot better when compared to the rest of the region.
Snow College currently leads the SWAC pack with a winning percentage of 630, based on 10 wins and six losses.
Dixie College, College of Southern Idaho and North Idaho College remain in a three-way tie for the second best record of 11-7.
Salt Lake Community College hovers above CEU with a 9-7 standing.
Colorado Northwestern Community College remains winless in conference play, posting an 0-16 record.
CEU head coach Bryan Zollinger said the conference race is unusually equal this year, which he attributes to the new playing format.
All SWAC teams play 24 conference games, which is up from 16 last season.
All games are scheduled back-to-back on Friday and Saturday night, making it more difficult for one team to excel.
CEU and the rest of the conference teams will play in three more weekend series before the region tournament, leaving a lot of room at the top.
The Eagles host Colorado this weekend. Game times are 7:30 p.m.
