Dinos try to find same intensity on the road

After a convincing home win against third ranked, undefeated Grantsville, the Carbon Dinos floundered as the away team in two non-league games.
In Friday nights game against Canyon View, the Dinos took a loss despite outscoring the Flyers in the second, third and fourth quarter.
A 13-2 first quarter start by Canyon View gave the Flyers enough momentum to preserve a win.
The final score was 46-52.
"They gave us several opportunities to win the game and we just didn't take advantage of it," head coach Ted Bianco said.
Saturday's game against Cedar City was much the same.
According to Bianco, the team shot the ball better than the previous night but with four Cedar players in double digits, the Redmen gave a well-balanced effort to take the game.
Carbon fell 49-59.
Bianco said the team needs to look towards playing with the same intensity and confidence that was shown during the Grantsville win.
"If I could have bottled that up, I would," he commented.
The team is struggling with away games this season, according to Bianco.
"We've gotta learn how to play on the road," he noted. "We need a different mentality when we step onto someone else's floor."
Two non-region opponents will step onto Carbon's floor this week.
The Dinos face Park City Dec. 17 and Granite on Dec. 19.
"Hopefully our kids will come out with fire and intensity. It'd be nice to go home for Christmas with two wins," Bianco concluded.
Following the Christmas break, Carbon will compete in four additional preseason games before beginning region play against Emery at home on Jan. 16.
