A pair of losses from conference rival Dixie College dropped College of Eastern Utah's Lady Eagles from the national rankings.

CEU, which was ranked 10th in the nation last week by the National Junior College Athletic Association, fell to 4-2 in the conference and 7-2 overall.

Dixie, meanwhile, elevated their record to 4-2 in the conference and 6-3 overall.

According to CEU head coach Dave Paur, Dixie has consistently shot around 30 percent from the field this season.

However, against CEU on Friday and Saturday night, the Rebels vaulted the team percentage to over 53 percent in both games.

CEU was unable to match Dixie from the field.

"For us to be successful [against Dixie] we had to shoot 40 percent or better from the field," Paur commented. "In St. George this weekend, we only shot 30 percent in both games."

Paur said the national rankings may have played a part in the team's reduced intensity against the Rebels.

Chelsey Warburton was the team's high scorer for the weekend, with 15 points on Friday and 17 points on Saturday.

Cassie Warburton also contributed 12 and 11 points respectively and Kami Blackburn added 10 and nine.
