Helper's American Legion team will play Saturday.

After a mini-tournament this past weekend, the Salt Lake Valley American Legion Baseball League will send 10 teams to the state playoffs beginning this weekend at Oquirrh Park in Kearns.

The first eight teams qualified by taking the top eight spots of the 28 team league regular schedule. Last week the second eight teams played for the remaining two spots. Timpanogas will go in as the ninth team and Murray will go in as the last team.

Helper, by virtue of it's record of 16-4, and it's defeat of Taylorsville during the regular season is going in as the second seed behind West Jordan which ended up with an 18-2 record.

The Helper men will now play at 5:00 p.m. at Oquirrh Park on the number four north field on Saturday. Their winning or losing the first game will determine their when their next game will be held and which opponent they will face.
