Tuesday may have been Veterans Day, but it was also a day when picketers from the Coop Mine had a rally to bolster their spirits. Miners from the operation have been picketing ever since a labor dispute arose in mid-September. Workers say when they went to the mine's office to protest the dismissal of a co-worker, they were told to leave and not come back. The company maintains that workers were told to go back to work and but left the premises and never returned. They say the mine is still under normal operation with many workers still performing their duties. According to the picketing workers a solidarity committee has been formed with other workers in Salt Lake and will hold a meeting there on November 17.
