Margaret Jensen

LAWRENCE - Margaret Adessa Ramage Jensen passed on to another stage in her life on Feb. 26, 2002 due to a long courageous battle with Alzheimer's and cancer.

Mom was born Nov. 10, 1919 in Lawrence to Susannah Will-stead and John G. Ramage. On Aug. 19, 1939, she married her soul mate, Melvin F. Jensen, which was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple for time and all eternity.

Mom was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel which she loved. She held many callings in the church in Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary. She has earned her place in God's highest kingdom.

She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, quilting and cooking.

She was a faithful soldier to her husband, working right beside him on the farm while raising a family.

She is leaving behind her loving husband of 62 years, Melvin F. Jensen; a sister, Edna (Carrol) Cullum; one daughter, Judy (Paul) Giles; one son, Darrol (Margo) Jensen; a daughter-in-law, Joan Souza; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren. Mom was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and sisters; and two sons, James and Leon.

What a marvelous reunion they are having.

Until we meet again, keep the home fire burning.

Friends may call for a visitation Friday, March 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 2, at 11 a.m. at the Huntington 5th LDS Ward Chapel, located at 115 South 400 East. A viewing will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in the Lawrence City Cemetery.

We, as a family, would like to express our many thanks to the doctors, nurses, people of hospice and county health for their love and care. And thanks also to her granddaughter, Kendahle, who lived with her grandparents, devoting her love in taking care of them.
