Blessing of the animals takes place in Helper

On Saturday morning a number of animals brought their owners to St. Anthony's Catholic church in Helper so they could be blessed by Father Ed Metzger. The yearly ceremony only lasted a few minutes. In years past there were more animals there, but that didn't diminsh the importance of the rite.
