First day of fall dawns clear and sunny in area

The sun's first rays cast a colorful hue to a rock outcropping at 'The Wedge' in the San Rafael Swell on Sunday morning, the first day of fall. The temperatures for the day ranged from the 70's to the 80's, almost perfect by many people's standards. More of the same is expected for the rest of the week.
