Madsen's time of 20:03 gave her a fourth place finish.
"She looked strong and had good rhythm in her stride as she glided over the different terrain," coach Stewart Foster commented.
Brooks also competed in the girls varsity race.
Paul Goodrich competed in the boys rookie division, taking 10th place out of 100 rookie runners. Cameron Grant, also a freshman, had his debut run in the rookie division.
For varsity, David Goodrich finished 77th.
The team's next race is the Cache-Box Invitational on Oct. 1.
