Carbon girls soccer lost to Grand 2-1 Sept. 18 in Moab.

The loss may put the team out of reach of the playoffs.

"We aren't mathematically eliminated from the playoffs but it isn't looking good," coach Dave Capalbo said.

Carbon's final region games of the season are against the number one and two ranked teams, Lehi And Delta.

The Lady Dinos will also depend upon a Grand win over North Sanpete to give them a shot at the third state berth.

Capalbo said the season has been a positive for the team, however.

"This is the best year we've ever had," he commented. "Each year since 2000, we've finished with a better record than the previous year."

Junior varsity tied the match 0-0.

Carbon faces Lehi on Sept. 25 at Lehi.
