Utah law enforcement association awards scholarships to county residents

Carbon Sheriff James Cordova presents $1,000 scholarships to Jennifer Burdis and Eddie Chavez. The Utah Sheriffs Association annually awards up to 29 donation-funded scholarships statewide. Recipients must be related to law enforcement personnel or enrolled in a related program. Burdis plans to major in pre-law at College of Eastern Utah. Chavez has not picked a major, but expects to make the decision soon.
