Utah Highway Patrol officers, Jason Marshall, Dave Brinkerhoff and Larry Mower lower a worn American flag. The flag was displaying signs of wear and tear and was retired during an appropriate ceremony July 17 at the Westwood Karate School. It is important for Carbon County citizens to dispose of worn flags accordingly. There are specific codes for doing so and the local Veterans of Foreign Wars office can provide proper information and disposal of the American symbol.
