Emergency fire-fighting crews from Wellington and Price battle a blaze last Thursday afternoon in Miller Creek. The billowing column of smoke could be viewed from locations across the county. The July 10 fire reportedly started in a trailer used for storage and spread to a work area filled with wood outside the trailer. The flames threatened a large band saw and woodworking equipment as fire fighters struggled to control the blaze in the 100 degree plus heat of the midday sun. It appeared the trailer, its contents and much of the equipment were a complete loss.
