Carbon County Animal Services - Residents are urged to bring recycled newspapers and aluminum to the office at 3360 S. 225 West, Price. Donations will be used for homeless pets.

Parenting for teens - The Family Support and Children's Justice Center in Price offers a free class dealing with the issues, problems and difficulties facing teen parents. Family Support & Children's Justice Center - offers crisis care for families with children from infants to 11 years old. Crisis nursery is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Families may use the nursery for respite, family crisis, court, doctors appointments, medical emergencies, mental health appointments, escaping family violence, attending parenting classes/divorce classes and AA/Narcotic Anonymous meetings. Cancer screening - Southeastern Utah Health District in Price offers checks twice a month for women up to and including age 64. Clinics include breast, pelvic and pap exams at low or no cost. Women 50 to 64 may qualify for free mammogram vouchers. Call the health district at 637-3671 for appointments.
Infant immunization clinics - The health district in Price offers the clinics Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
ABC Learning Center - features movies Fridays at 7 p.m. The facility has books, computers and activities for adults and children. Summer hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 7 p.m. Winter hours are from 2 to 6 p.m. For tutoring appointments, call the center at 888-2061.

Summer lunch program - Child nutrition services will sponsor free lunches for youth ages 18 years and younger Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wellington Elementary, Petersen Elementary, Helper Junior High and Castle Valley Center. Breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 9 a.m. at Castle Valley Center. The program concludes Aug. 1 at all schools except Castle Valley Center, where breakfast and lunch will be served until Aug. 8. Adults may purchase meals for a nominal fee.
Carbon High Class of 1963 reunion - is scheduled Aug. 8 to Aug. 10 at Price Holiday Inn.
