Holiday heat at the race track

Desert Thunder raceway is well into the 2003 season. This 3/8 mile banked dirt track hosts everything from methanol burning super late models to intermountain mini sprints.

On this track, cars of all types race at speeds approaching 100 miles per hour.

The raceway is host to over 1000 spectators and participants from not only Utah, but the entire region. Desert Thunder hosts 15 or more races per year and is located 3 miles east of Price on Airport Road.

The next race is scheduled for saturday, July 5th, with the gates opening at 5:00 pm. The frist race begins at 6:00 pm.Another event will be held on July 18th and 19th.

If you're looking for an evening of heart-pounding excitement in the Carbon & Emery area, make sure you stop by the Desert Thunder Raceway.
