SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - Our beloved husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa, Grover David Hammack passed away Aug. 13, 2014 peacefully after and extended illness.
He was born in Pacific, Mo. To Edith and Grover Cleveland Hammack on Mother's Day, May 10, 1931. Married Beverly Mason Sept. 18, 1951 and they spent nearly 63 wonderful years together.
He proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. In 1955 he started his 39 year career with Sears Roebuck & Company, first in the automotive department in California and eventually moving to the small engine repair department in Concord, Calif. In 1978 he transferred to Price to work in the local Sears repair center and later the Provo repair center.
Preceded in death by his infant daughter, parents, two brothers and two sisters,.
Survived by wife, Beverly Hammack; sons, Michael (Janet), Antioc, Calif., Randall (Cindy) Salt Lake City, Kory (Georgia), Sacramento, Calif., Tim (Tracy), Price, and Casey (Melissa) Price; 12 grand children, 10 great grand children and sister Esther (Earl) Ruz, Cuba, Mo., and numerous special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dave wished to be cremated and at his request there will be no services.
