Deputies arrest 2 suspects, seize drugs, paraphernalia
Diligent investigation paid off for Carbon County Sheriff's Deputies last week as a search warrant yielded more than 31 grams of suspected meth and heroin and led to the felony drug distribution arrests of two Price residents.
According to a Carbon County press release, Deputy Shawn Addley had been collecting information in regards to the individuals residing near 1700 South on Highway 10. As the information demonstrated that illicit drugs were possibly being dealt on the property, a search warrant was obtained and served by the SO at 2:44 on July 14.
James Martinez, 34 and Vanessa Monroe, 35 were arrested and booked into the Carbon County Jail a search of the home. Both are now facing charges which include possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession paraphernalia.
During the warrant's execution, approximately 21 grams of heroin and 11.5 grams of methamphetamine were found.
Bail for James Martinez has been set at $20,680. Bail for Vanessa Monroe has been set at $10,680.
"The community is encouraged to assist us with any information regarding the use and distribution of drugs," stated the sheriff's office.
