Six students from Helper Junior High participated in the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) National Competition in San Antonio, Texas July 5-11.

Canden Stockdale, Jaylee Cox, and Mason Rogers earned gold medals. Their score placed them 3rd in their event for the Pacific Region.

The students competed in Food Innovation in which they needed to create a frozen snack that would appeal to small children and parents. Their Choco' Nana Butter Bites were a huge success.

Raychel Briseno received a silver medal. She competed in Chapter Showcase Manual and focused on all the events Helper Junior High took part in throughout the school year.

Shaubre Stockdale and Crystal Nef received a silver medal in Life Event Planning. They planned and implemented a beautiful birthday party for a family member.

FCCLA is the only student led organization with the family as its major focus.

Through FCCLA students learn leadership skills in working with youth and adults and preparing them fro careers and community service.
