PRICE/KIMBERLING CITY, MO. - Kristeen Rees Fowler, age 65, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend, passed away June 18, 2014, after a short and courageous battle with congestive heart failure. Surrounded by her loving family, she left us with grace and dignity at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Married James Fowler March 16, 1974 in Denver, Colo., making their home in Kansas and Missouri.
Kris was born Dec. 7, 1948 in-Coalville to Everett Rees and Marie Sargent Rees. Moved to Price when she was 12, graduating from Carbon High School in 1967, College of Eastern Utah in 1969, and continuing her education at the University of Utah. She went on to work for Travelers Insurance Agency for 33 years making friends wherever she went.
Retired with her husband Jim to Table Rock Lake, Mo. and spent their winters in Fort Myers, Fla. She loved her time with her extended families at the lake and in Florida.
Kris enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and sewing doll clothes for her granddaughters. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart and they will miss her dearly. She was always there when they needed her even if it was miles away. She had a true conviction of being with her family again someday.
Along with their combined families, they have four great children. Howard (Dianne) Fowler, Brooke (Earl) Tyrus, Hayden (Lori) Fowler, and Rees (Elizabeth) Fowler; eight grandchildren-Madison, Mason, Sara, Brea, Maren, Gwen, Hailey and Nora. Sisters-Janet (Alma) Blonquist and Evelyn (Kent) Olsen.
Preceded in death by her parents, sister Marion White, sister-in-law, Catherine Trencher, and mother-in-law Mary May.
A private graveside memorial was held on June 28, 2014 as per her request. Burial in Overland Park, Kan.
