Barracuda swimmers take first place at home meet
Carbon swimmers post strong times in picking up win over Moab and San Rafael
Since beginning their season in May, the Barracudas swim team have seen their times trimmed down and improvements in their technique build towards becoming better on an individual and team basis.
But that hard work is also translating to winning as a team. That hard work was on display during a home meet that the Barracudas won over teams including Moab and San Rafael which saw over 100 swimmers participate.
Barracudas Head Coach Kamra Davis said the 52 swimmers for the team ranging in age from 6 to 16 performed well in picking up the win.
"The boys team won a lot of races in their age groups and the girls have been strong since the season started," said Davis.
The team's technique with their strokes is getting better, according to Davis, and it's resulted in a number of best times for the team.
"The kids are improving a lot and it's showing at each meet," she said.
The Barracudas will travel to Vernal on July 12 for their next meet before returning home to host a big home meet on August 2.
