PROVO/HELPER-Leona Maxine Parker Stringfellow, age 92, passed away June 28, 2014 at Pinnacle Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Price, of causes due to age.
She was born Oct. 7, 1921 in Salt Lake City to Leo and Gerda Helena Nelson Parker.
Maxine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On June 15, 1942, she married Marvin Darrell Stringfellow in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, he passed away in 2003.
Maxine worked as an Audit Manager for Sears in Provo for many years and she lived most of her married life in the Provo/Orem area. They enjoyed the outdoors, exploring all over Utah, and after retirement they moved to Carbon County. Maxine thoroughly enjoyed her family, wherever they were.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Wayne (Kathy) Stringfellow, Spring Glen, David (Denise) Stringfellow, Salem, daughter, Barbara (Raymond) Gibby, Garfield, Ark; 11 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
Graveside service, Thursday, July 3, 2014, 11 a.m., East Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 4800 North East Lawn Drive (650 East), Provo. A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014, from 6-8 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, 233 East Main Street in Price.
