Letter to the Editor: Problem not Utah

By Fred Richardson

In two recent opinion pieces the publisher of the Sun Advocate, Richard Shaw commented on the Utah Legislature. I agree with a lot of what he said about the lopsided politics in Utah; but I would remind him that we, in Carbon County, have experienced some of that ourselves for a long time.

The problem in Utah schools is not the number of students; it's the Common Core. The state of Indiana got rid of it. What's wrong with our Utah lawmakers?

The education system from our federal government has been dumbing down Americans for years now and rain forests are more important than American Exceptional ism. We don't own the rain forests. They are being destroyed by the countries who do own them and there is nothing we can do about it.

Actor Richard Dreyfuss said," Put Civics back in school". Great idea. When a group of college students were interviewed and didn't know what country bombed Pearl Harbor, we have a problem.

As far as Utah schools go, I pay taxes to support an education system for all children in Utah. I don't care what size family they come from or who their parents are or what religion they belong to. My point is that God's first commandment was to "multiply and replenish the earth". As far as I know that commandment still stands.

The interesting thing here is that two children is a break even point on population. The Japanese are in trouble because of this idea. The Chinese are having problems now, because of their laws regarding female children. Even Vladomir Putin recognizes this and encourages Russians to have children. The elite want to get rid of we the little people.

As far as gay marriage not being accepted in Utah, that wasn't the Utah Legislature; that was the voice of the people, in a Constitutional election, where the majority of Utahn's said they did not agree with it. Majority rule was the vote. Liberal judges use our Constitution to give preferential treatment to special interest groups, whose goal is to destroy this country. This was the law and I salute Governor Herbert for supporting the voice of the people.

Concerning the sale of beer at one time events; isn't the dumbing down of Utah students more important? How about interviewing our local state politicians on these issues?

Thirty years ago, I read that if the federal government would get out of the way and let American farmers and ranchers produce what they were capable of, and let them be paid for their effort, they could feed the whole world. Starvation on this planet is not due to overpopulation; it is due to leaders who care nothing about their people. The number of people on this planet; isn't the problem; greedy leaders and politicians are.

There are a great number of people out there pushing so called good causes and they have enlisted good, well meaning people to help. Those behind these causes are people who are out to rid the planet of those they consider lesser and undesirable. Those whom they consider undesirable, first and foremost, are Jews and Christians. These are our elected officials and the rich and famous, who are pulling their strings.

The New Ager individuals are proud of and advertise the fact, that they have their people in all levels of government, schools, all churches, news sources, the entertainment industry, environmental groups, the medical fields our military and others.

Part of their agenda to reduce world population of the lesser and undesirables is abortion. Who are most of the users of funded abortion? The people they look on as being lesser and undesirable; the poor of the world.

Zero population growth, same sex marriage, abortion, Common Core, atheism, racism, multiculturalism, Affirmative Action, hate speech, evolution, The ACLU, The NAACP, SUWA, The Sierra Club, feminism, opposition to voter identification and an unwillingness to close our borders (example of a one world government) are all New Age crap, along with global warming and political correctness.

A lot of our government leaders push global warming to stifle the economy of our country (Canadian pipeline and Obama's new cap and trade law). China and India are two of the biggest polluters on the planet and if anyone thinks they will abide by rules that limit their growth, they are mistaken. Al Gore has made a lot of money selling this one. God put oil and coal here for our use.

A friend acquainted me with the fact that solar panels put off a lot of heat (global warming?).He also said that wind mills mess up natural air currents and kill a lot of birds, including our national symbol. Windmills only turn when the wind blows.

Wow, reliable!

I know Utah is not a perfect place to live, but it is a good place to live. There are things here that I don't care for, but all in all, it is a good place to live. Utah's economy is one of the best in the country and Carbon County's not sharing in that is not the governors fault. A large part of that is water. We lost water that morally and geographically was ours, as far as I'm concerned, and we've known it would happen for years; yet there is still no effort by county leadership to remedy it. The fault lies here, not with the state.

Washington is beyond corrupt and the above named selfish, special interest groups are destroying America. Such a great country and so many uninformed, selfish or traitorous Americans. There is corruption in Utah politics too.

Enough said!
