Price falls in close battle with Herriman
Winning on the road is never easy and Price came up just short in a 4-1 loss to Herriman on Monday evening.
Price Legion Baseball Head Coach Willie Ellington said the game was tied 1-1 going into the bottom of the sixth inning. Herriman was able to score three runs with two outs to take the lead en route to the win.
Anthony MacLean pitched a complete game for Price and kept things close throughout the game, Ellington said. But the Price offense struggled to get runs across the plate, leaving the bases loaded on three separate occasions in the game.
"It was a good game that could have gone either way," said Ellington. "We had some calls that didn't go our way but we had chances on offense that we just couldn't take advantage of."
Price will return home on Friday, June 27 when they will host Judge at 6 p.m. at the Carbon High School Baseball Field.
