PRICE - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Vera Zaccaria Gurulé, age 81, passed away June 6, 2014, while surrounded by her family at Castleview Hospital in Price.

She was born Sept. 19, 1932 in Price to Steve and Concetta Farlaino Zaccaria.

Married Jose F. Gurulé, June 11, 1949 at Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Price. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2010.

Vera was a devoted member of Notre Dame Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar Society, funeral committee, RCIA Sponsor and Woman of the Year. She was actively involved in many civic and community action programs such as the foster care program, the Democratic party and a driving force in changing the school districts dress code policy.

She loved embroidery, family gatherings, reading and cooking for her family. Vera loved a good debate and her genuine concern and compassion warmed the hearts of many.

Survived by five sons and three daughters, Mike (Della) Gurulé, George (Marlene) Gurulé, both of Price, Frank (Kathy) Gurulé, Spring Glen, Phillis (Robert) Salazar, Las Vegas, Nev., John (Sherree) Gurulé, Price, Constance G. Taylor, Washington Terrace, Orie (Betty) Gurulé, Price, Jo Ann (Rick) Richey, Saratoga Springs; her other children who brought great joy into their home, Sam Garcia, Mesquite, Nev., Linda Garcia, Salt Lake City, Robert Burrola, Tom Burrola, both of Salt Lake City, Earlene Powell, Price; four sisters and one brother, Merlene Wilson, Murray, Rose Lemieux, Green River, Ann May, Brewster, N.Y., Jake Zaccaria, Bakersfield, Calif., Lena Llewelyn, Price; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Vera joins her husband, parents, five brothers and two sisters, and foster son, Joe.

Funeral Mass, Thursday, June 12, 2014, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Wednesday evening 7 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at Mitchell's Wednesday and Thursday one hour prior to services. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Vera at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
