PHOENIX, ARIZ. - Ruth Anne Poulsen passed away Monday, June 9th, 2014 in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born May 26, 1944, in Ogden, the second daughter of Ruth Tueller and Blair K Poulsen. Her dad was in the Army at the time and her mother and sister, Billie June, were living with her Tueller grandparents in Clearfield.

She lived in Logan where she attended Woodruff Elementary first grade through fourth grade. Her family then moved to Smithfield where she attended Summit Elementary and Smithfield Junior High. When she was in 8th grade, she went to live with her Dad in Sunnyside. She attended East Carbon Junior High and East Carbon High school, graduating in 1962.

In 1962 she married Kenneth L. (Henrie) Peterson. They had four children, Patti Lynn, Kenneth Mark, Jeffery LeRoy, and Steven James.

She loved working and was employed by Clymer's Dairy, Colorado West Dairies, and Feather Petroleum. She was at Feather Petroleum for 19 years, working in accounts payable, inventory control, and price book administration until she retired in 2010.

She was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She served as secretary in Relief Society and Primary. She was also a Stake Genealogy Consultant and worked at the Family History Center in Grand Junction, Colo.

In 2004 she took out her Endowments in the Logan LDS Temple. This was a very special time for her and she was pleased to have many friends and family in attendance.

She is survived by her children: Patti Lynn (Todd) Binkley), Grand Junction, Colo., Mark (Michelle) Peterson, Phoenix, Ariz., Jeffery (Stacie) Peterson, Franklin, Tenn., and Steven (Sarah) Peterson, Grand Junction, Colo. She is also survived by the loves of her life, her grandchildren; Brandyn (Jessica) and Katelynn Binkley; Elizabeth, Tanner, Marisa, and Mavric Peterson; Hunter, Maddie and Baylee Peterson; Sophia, and SJ Peterson; and great grandchild Landon Drudge.

She is also survived by her Step Mother, Grace Dixon, Richland, Wash., brothers and sisters, Billie June (Paul) Buttars, Smithfield, Brenda (Pete) Jones, Sandy, Russell (JJ) Poulsen, West Jordan, Julie (Alan) Hansen, Grace, Idaho, Bradley(Barbara) Spring, Salt Lake City, Dorene (Lloyd) Nicholls, Evanston, Wyo., Gregory (Jodie) Spring, Roy, Peggy (Alan) Davis, Richland, Wash., John (Jana) Poulsen, St Anthony, Idaho, and Robert (Sherri) Poulsen, Idaho Falls, Idaho. She is survived by Aunts Dona Wilson, Beth Poulsen, and Nondas (Elmer) Ricks, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Her family would like to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and Caregivers from St. Mary's Hospital and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. and Phoenix, Ariz.

Graveside service will be at Logan City Cemetery June 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. (951 N 1200th E, Logan) with a friend and family gathering at the Hyde Park LDS church. (63 E Center St, Hyde Park)..
