Out with the old, in with the new
What once was the home of Price City's Tennis Courts is now flat land after construction crews began the summer-long project of tearing down the courts to make way for six new courts for the start of the 2014-15 school year.
The project, a partnership between Price City, Carbon School District and the Carbon County Recreation and Transportation Special Service District, has been in the works since 2011 and finally broke ground on the project in May. The previous courts had cracks in the surface and were considered to be dilapated.
