KINGMAN, ARIZ. - Mary Kinder, 72, lost her battle to cancer on May 15, 2014 at Kingman Regional Medical Center. She was born to Clarence and Dona Thompson in Wellington on March 6, 1942. She was raised in Dragerton (East Carbon). She married Gaylen D. Kinder Sr. on Jan. 18, 1958. She resided in Yucca, Ariz. since 1991 and was the school cook for over 14 years, until she retired.
She was a member of the LDS Church in Kingman.
Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gaylen; daughters, Darla (Robert) Morgan, Donna (Terri) Ikola, and LaRue (Rich) Kinder/Arntson; sons, Robert (Grace) Kinder, Gaylen Kinder Jr., Veloyed Kinder; mother, Dona Malleis; brothers, Fredrick (Kathy) Thompson and Clarence Thompson; 19 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father; step-father, Oscar Malleis; brother, Vernon Thompson; daughter, Becky Redner; son, Jimmy Kinder; grandchildren, LaMont, James, and Braydon Kinder.
Mary was a wonderful wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was loving, caring, an open-armed, wise person and as busy as a hummingbird.
A celebration of life was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Yucca Elementary School, 12261 3rd St.
