We lost our strong, beautiful and loving, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and great-grandma. We are thankful for all the wonderful memories and we'll cherish the many years we shared with her.
Loa Mae peacefully passed away at her daughter's home in Taylorsville on May 17, 2014. She was born Nov. 24, 1922 in Spanish Fork to Chris and Rhoda Thompson Hreinson. Later they moved to Coke Oven Row in Castle Gate.
In 1946, she settled down in Helper with the love of her life, Rudolph Zaccaria. They were married Oct. 31, 1945 in San Francisco, Calif. He died Dec. 17, 2003.
Mom's joy in life was raising her five children, playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved bowling, playing bridge, BYU, and the Atlanta Braves. She also loved watching her grandkids play baseball.
Survived by her children, Darryl (Judy), David (Ann), Trudy (Billy), and Robert (Susan); 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband Rudy, son, Dean; parents, Chris and Rhoda; sisters, Grace, Margaret, Freda, Fay, Bernice and Blanche; and brothers, Clifford and Chris.
Funeral service, Thursday, May 22, 2014, 11 a.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will receive friends at Mitchell's Thursday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt. View Cemetery in Helper at a later date.
