Pinnacle High School Track and Field athletes are continuing their hard work but the results are still just hundreds of seconds off of qualifying for state.

PHS Head Coach Tim Turpin said there are a group of athletes that are still on the cusp on qualifying for state including Hunter Sherman, Nyet Rasmussen, the girls 4x100 relay team and more.

"We just need to stay focused and be positive," said Turpin.

The team is now focusing on the Region 19 meet to be held on May 6 in Blanding.

"The team has made good strides this season despite the fact many of them have never participated in track and field before this season," said Turpin.
