PRICE- Leon M. "Spike" Moynier, age 71, passed away March 24, 2014 in Price.
He was born on March 7, 1943 in Price to Leon M. and Jeanne Empey Moynier.
Married DeVonna "Dee" Richards, May 30, 1972 in Elko, Nev.
Spike was a graduate of Carbon High School and later attended C.E.U. He was employed for 39 years as a Locomotive Engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was an honorary life member of Price Elks Lodge # 1550 and a jolly St, Nick. He was also one of two charter members of the Castle Country Bassmasters. Spike shared a passion for the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially chasing coyotes. He spent countless hours in the outdoors with his family and it was stated by many, that he was born with a fishing pole in one hand and a rifle in the other.
Survived by his loving wife Dee Moynier; three sons, Leon, Cory (Mandy) and Cody; grandchildren, Skyler, Makayla and Carly; sister, Maureen (Joe) Levisky; and many dear friends.
Funeral service, Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 11 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell's Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery.
