A Price city man has been booked on 18 first degree felony sex crimes connected with underage victims in Richfield and Carbon County.

Ryan Macart, 20 of Price was originally booked into the Carbon County Jail on March 5 at approximately 4 p.m. for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. A subsequent interview conducted by Price City Detective Ed Malmgren brought the alleged child sex crimes to light.

According to Price City Police Chief Kevin Drolc, Malmgren obtained alleged confessions to 14 counts of first degree felony Sodomy of a Child and four counts of Rape of a Child.

According to the Price Chief, the 18 cases are connected with five victims, one from Carbon County and four from Richfield.

While it has been reported that one of the victims is 13-years-old, the age of all five individuals related to the case have not been made public.

Macart was booked for the alleged sex offenses on March 6, following the interview with Det. Malmgren. The criminal cases have been forwarded to the Richfield Police as well as Carbon County District Attorney Gene Strate, who will review the alleged confessions and determine just what charges will be brought against Macart.
