HELPER-George David Llewelyn, age 70, returned to His Heavenly Father on Feb. 6, 2014, after a 35 year struggle with health issues.
He was born Sept. 1, 1943 in Spring Canyon to Wallace and Nora Mower Llewelyn.
George was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he received endowments in the Manti Temple. He was employed with Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad at the time of his motorcycle accident. George had a zest for life. He enjoyed fast cars and going to the Bonneville Salt Flats.
George is survived by his three brothers, Wallace John Llewelyn, Las Vegas, Nev., Sundra (Catherine) Llewelyn, Helper, Rodger (Audree) Llewelyn, Taylorsville; brother-in-law, Mac Tidwell, West Valley; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Joan Tidwell; and sister-in-law, LaRue Llewelyn.
Graveside service, Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at noon, Mitchell Funeral Home (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell's Tuesday from 11-11:30 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of George online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Helper Fire Department.
