Power outage affects big section of Price

A power outage caused by a series of electrical incidences created an outage for much of Price around 3 a.m. on Monday morning. In the photo above crews check lines and fuses on poles on 300 East just a few minutes before the power came back on at 8 a.m. While much of Price was out, some parts still had electricity. For instance Smith's Food and Drug had power while just a door away Maverik was without power. The failure was blamed on a series of events, but old 1960s equipment that is planned for replacement ended up being the cause for the larger outage.
