Emergency personnel use Jaws of Life to free trapped motorist
Price emergency medical personnel needed the Jaws of Life to extricate a female motorist from her Hyundai SUV Tuesday evening after she was broadsided by a white Nissan Pathfinder.
The late model Pathfinder collided with the driver's side door of the east bound Hyundai Santa Fe on 100 North in Price as its operator turned left toward the U.S. Highway 6 on-ramp.
According to police on scene, the collision, which occurred around 5:15 p.m. sealed the driver's side door of the Hyundai causing EMTs and Price Fire officials to resort to the heavy equipment in order to get the driver out.
While her injuries are not known at this time, EMTs on scene were concerned about her level of pain as they freed her from the vehicle. Carbon County technicians placed her in a neck brace before loading her onto a backboard and transferring her to Castleview Hospital for further medical attention.
