Carbon rodeo club prepares for state

McKet Young rounds the barrel during a rodeo earlier this year. With only a few rodeos remaining in the regular rodeo season, the Carbon High club prepares for the state finals. Young has already qualified for state in barrels and breakaway roping while Jeremy Noyes and David Blanton have qualified in bull riding. Blanton has also qualified to participate in bareback riding and Shawnalee Johnson in breakaway roping. Ty Young is currently in second place in the state in team roping along with his partner KC Jensen from Emery High. Smokey Tweddell is in the top 15 in team roping with his partner Seth Weber from Emery.
