Justin Siekmann "Jud" passed away Dec. 27, 2013 at the home of his daughter in Berryville, Ark.

Jud was born Jan. 9, 1950 to Justin & Charlene Siekmann in Colorado Springs, Colo.

In his early years, Jud worked as a butcher for Kroger in Colorado Springs. He decided to move to the country and chose Trinidad, Colo., as his new home.

This is where he began his mining career, working for CF&I, Wyoming Fuels, and Basin Resources. Jud transferred to Price in the early 90's to continue his work in the mining industry with American Longwall, Joy Mining, and the RM Wilson Company. During his working career he developed valued relationships with his counterparts.

Jud loved motorcycling and golfing. He motorcycled across the country spending time visiting friends & family along the way. He was always the life of the party, telling stories, laughing, and always laughing at himself.

Jud is survived by his very special daughter Bobbi Jo (Mitch) Vaught and son Noah Siekmann, Granddaughters Chelsea (Brian) Abendroth and Shelby Vaught.

A celebration of Jud's life will be held on Friday, Jan. 10 at the Carbon Country Club from 3 to 7 p.m. where the stories will continue to be told. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.
