Smith's holdup suspect arrested

A joint criminal apprehension team headed by the United States Marshals has arrested the suspect known as "Canceris." The Wasatch Front resident who had been staying in Carbon County, allegedly robbed the Smith's Food & Drug in east Price at gunpoint on Nov. 26.

Domonic Mathew Martinez, 28, was taken into custody at 3300 South State Street in Salt Lake City at around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon. Martinez is originally from Murray but had recently been living in the Price area.

Price City Detectives Robb Radley and Chris Pugliese assisted in the arrest of Martinez and investigation at Smith's. Martinez, is also known reportedly known as "King-Dom."

The Seventh District Court issued a $100,000 warrant for the Martinez after his alleged involvement in the aggravated robbery at Smith's.

He was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, pending extradition back to Price, said Price City Police Capt. Bill Barnes.

Price detectives had arrested Jennifer Tryon, 42, of Price on Dec. 2 for Aggravated Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, and Obstruction of Justice in connection with the Nov. 26 incident at Smith's.

She was identified as the "getaway" driver by Price Police.
