LEHI - Fay Powell left us unexpectedly on November 28, 2013 with her family by her side. She was born on May 5, 1943 to Violet Leona and John Clifford Brinkerhoff. She married her sweetheart Calvin Grant Powell on Jan. 13, 1963. Together they had four children.
Fay was a kind, caring, compassionate soul who always gave everything she could to those in need. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, aunt and friend. She loved to paint, make crafts, sew, crochet, quilt, hunt and fish. She also loved her garden of flowers.
Fay is survived by this list of family: Her daughter Margaret (Allen) McConnell, Grant (Cindy) Powell, Robert (Mindi) Powell, Gary (Erin) Powell, 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, her oldest sister Jessie and her baby sister Hazel. She was preceded in death by her sweetheart Calvin Powell, her parents, her brothers Jay, John E, her sister Rosalie and her identical twin sister and best friend Kay.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary in Lehi, Utah. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be held at the Grames-Powell Cemetery on a later date.
You are loved and will be missed Nanny. One day we will see you again.
