FARMINGTON - Suzanne Lauritsen Checketts was born on May 16, 1970, in Price. She passed away on Nov. 22, 2013, at her home in Farmington surrounded by loved ones. Although her battle with breast cancer was long, she fought it with courage, dignity, and grace.
Sue is the beloved daughter of Larry and Verna Lauritsen of Price and the forever sweetheart and wife of James (Jim) Checketts. They were married in February 1994 and have spent the last 19 years in love. She is a loved and cherished sister, niece, aunt, and friend.
Suzanne's tender and loving heart touched many people. She always brought joy and happiness to others. She was forever thoughtful and giving, and she loved to find ways to make people happy.
Suzanne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her Relief Society lessons were especially tender, and she enjoyed teaching them very much.
Suzanne is survived by her husband Jim, her son Chris (Emily), her granddaughter Hadley Suzanne, her parents Larry and Verna Lauritsen, her siblings Lezlie, Todd (Tiffany), James (Juli), and Aimee, and many nieces and nephews.
Sue, we will always remember your smiling face, your great sense of humor, your dignity, and your love. Our lives are better because you will always be a part of us.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013 at the Steed Creek Chapel, Steed Creek Chapel, 347 S. 200 W., Farmington. Viewing held from 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26, at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington.
