PRICE - Adele Bonza Carlow, age 101, met her creator Tuesday morning, Nov. 19, 2013.
She was born in Turbigo, Italy July 11, 1912 and came to America with her parents, Fred and Ambrozina Colombo Bonza in 1913.
Married Don William Carlow Feb. 18, 1939 in Price. He passed away April 19, 2000.
Adele graduated from Carbon High School. She was a faithful member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church and an staunch supporter of the Notre Dame School for many years. Adele worked as an office manager for Zion/Utah Wholesale, Eastern Utah Wholesale and Yama's. She was honored as Woman of the Year by the Business and Professional Women's Club in 1991. Adele was an excellent bridge player and she belonged to several bridge groups. Adele leaves a strong heritage of courage, determination and love for all her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her children, Earl (Mary) Carlow, Earlene (Jim) Wilson, Joan (Fred) Johnson; step children, Gwen Bonza, Sterling K. (Marge) Carlow, Don F. (Jeannie) Carlow; 20 grandchildren; 30+ great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews and a community of friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Carlow; brother, Louis Bonza; and sister, Josephine Vieta.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, Noon, Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Vigil service, Friday evening, 7 p.m. Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Family will receive friends at the church Friday evening one hour prior to the service and at Mitchell Funeral Home Saturday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
